About
Politics is defined as ‘the process by which groups make decisions. It is the authoritative allocation of values. Although the term is generally applied to behavior within governments, politics is observed in all human group interactions’.
Kentucky Political Review’s goal is to inform the public with a reasoned and objective publication of the political events of this great state and nation. We believe that people can come to a correct conclusion or decision on any issue if given accurate information and facts all too often obscured by a media and press lacking any balance in their perspectives.
Kentucky Political Review is not a personal blog of the opinions of one individual, but rather a collective effort borne of those seasoned and experienced in the matters about which they write. Although we might be considered by some as conservative, facts are neutral, so characterization of our analysis will depend on the reader’s bias. We will do our best to give a fair and respectful presentation of political events and welcome intelligent opposing views. We further acknowledge that people have a right to their own opinions, but they don’t have a right to their own facts and whereas factual accuracy and completeness is lacking in today’s media and press, we strive to bring about a more complete presentation of those facts. We hope it will be a place where reasonable people will come to get up to date analysis on current political events and opinions. Our focus will try to be from a Kentucky perspective when possible although much of what occurs nationally affects Kentucky and will be analyzed and commented upon when relevant.
Opinions and editorials will be categorized as such and will always be attributed to the author of the post. Kentucky Political Review is not an arm of either political party; however, we welcome submissions by officials or candidates of either party for posting.
Using the broad definition of politics above, Kentucky Political Review may occasionally inform or comment on other diverse topics of social interaction.
