As many people with general common sense have questioned the science behind global warming claims over the past 20 years, we now have evidence that the so called scientists making these claims have been cooking the books.  Read more

If you have a minute and a half, you really should listen to an audio clip of a Bill Press interview of Rep. John Conyers (very D, Mich.) posted on Breitbart.  First Mr. Conyers says he’s “gettin’ tired of saving Obama’s can,” which is a quote for the ages.  But he goes on to say something so self-evidently absurd that only a Lefty could give assent to it:

The public option’s only available, which is the only way you’ll manage costs and give some competition to 1,300 other health insurance companies, the only, the only way he could’ve got that through was that Progressives held their nose and voted for the plan anyway.

Those of us who think more government involvement in, and control of, healthcare is a huge mistake that will cost Americans their lives and treasure are already shaking our heads.  We know that government rationing of healthcare is all but inevitable under the bills now before Congress, which will turn what ought to be personal medical decisions into political fights.   Read more

According to an ongoing study by George Mason University’s non-partisan Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA), Fox News’s actual news coverage of candidate Obama (36% favorable, 64% unfavorable) was nearly identical to that of candidate McCain (40% favorable, 60% unfavorable).   Read more

Until now, President Obama’s arguably unpatriotic conduct, such as his incessant apologizing for America and compromising our national security interests (e.g., missile and radar sites in Poland and the Czech Republic), could at least colorably, albeit weakly, defended on the ground that such actions advanced other American interests.  Though it would be a stretch, it is conceivable that such actions could be taken by a patriot: “one who loves his or her country and supports its authority and interests.”   But the President’s and the Attorney General’s decision to try suspected terrorists in the criminal court system rather than in military tribunals can be understood as nothing other than unpatriotic by rational people.  Read more

Today Attorney General Holder officially announced that the Obama Administration has decided, against the unanimous advice of the Guantanamo Commission, to bring the self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other detainees to New York City for a civilian trial with all of the rights and privileges of a U.S. citizen!!  This is without question the stupidest decision possible and clear evidence that the Obama Administration is not only untrustworthy but traitorous.  We can no longer be civil with this Administration.  They are a disgrace. What would have been unthinkable fifty years ago and most likely have relegated you to the outer fringes of society if not jail, is now actually in control of our country.  Within the last few days the Texas Governor, Rick Perry stated:

“This is an administration hell-bent on taking America towards a socialist country.”

No doubt you’ve all heard by now what Gen. Casey said on Meet the Press concerning the Fort Hood massacre and diversity:

“Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

Only in our PC-soaked, relativistic, “I’m OK, you’re OK,” culture could such a statement have any purchase; sadly, it’s the kind of drivel we hear day in and day out.  I had hoped that the military might be a last bastion of common sense against the cultural zeitgeist of insanity; Gen. Casey’s remarks didn’t give me much hope in that regard. Read more
