Senator John F. Kerry secretly placed an earmark in a defense bill for $20 million to build a repository for Senator Kennedy’s papers in Boston. Kerry already secured $5 million of taxpayers’ money for the planning and design of the Kennedy shrine in a Labor Dept spending bill. The Defense bill of $360 billion was a good place for Kerry to hide the request. This is THEFT – clear and simple. We must stop these crooked politicians. All spending requests should be voted on in separate individual bills.

As we predicted in our Sept 20th post, Massachusetts gave power back to the Governor to select a Senate replacement. They only changed the law while a Republican was Governor. As expected, a Kennedy appointee has been chosen to replace Senator Kennedy. Who controls Massachusetts? And the uppity northeast liberals think Kentucky is a backward state.

Obama Indoctrination of Our Children

A video from a NJ public elementary school shows the children being taught songs praising Barack Obama. This is typical indoctrination found in an authoritarian dictatorship. Moammar Kadafi (who rose to power in Libya in a military coup in 1969) was calling for Obama to be President for life yesterday at the UN. Apparently our public schools are preparing our children for the future.

Yesterday, Senate Democrats voted to block an amendment by Republicans which would have required the full Healthcare bill be posted on the internet for 3 days before a vote is taken. Yes, you read it correctly; only 3 days. Senate Democrats assume that since they don’t read the bill, then you shouldn’t read it either. It appears they want to shove this bill through as fast as possible before anyone knows what is in it.

Another Obama Czar, Kevin Jennings, appointed to the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, was selected from the radical left wing. He has a long self admitted drug abuse problem which he does not regret. He is openly gay and has published six books promoting homosexuality in education. And he admits that in the past “I, for many years, reacted violently to anyone who professed any kind of religion”. Is this the change you can believe in?

Kentucky Schools Continue to Decline

The Kentucky Department of Education tried to put a good light on the failing grades Kentucky schools made last year on the Kentucky Core Contents tests in math and reading as part of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. Less than 38% and 20% of middle school and high schools respectively met their NCLB goals. Overall, schools meeting their goals was down nearly 13% from the year before. However, Lisa Gross of KY Dept of Ed suggests that it is more important to parents that “your child is happy”. Stupid but happy? Really?

Abolish the NEA Now

Public funding of art has always been a controversial proposition in a free society. Why should taxpayers fund art that they don’t like, or worse still, art that offends them. The National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) has had a controversial past with funding of some very offensive art at times (remember the “Piss Christ”). Now however, Obama’s White House is clearly using the NEA to advance his political agenda which is illegal. It is time to shut down Obama’s ministry of propaganda before it becomes just that.
