It’s debatable as to whether it’s two or three or four percent, but historically the number is incredibly in the low single digits. It’s one of the most encouraging numbers in a time of national and global turmoil. For the sake of argument let’s just call it the four percent solution.  Depending on how you look at it, the four percent can be encouraging or distressing. Read more

The budget proposed by President Obama is the largest budget and deficit in the history of the world.  Does that statement seem excessive? Yes, but it is true and few seem to be noticing it.  Read more

Today we read reports that a Russian Air Force chief says Russian strategic bombers may be based in Cuba.  Could this be Obama’s Cuban missile crisis?   Many on the right warned during the campaign that Russia and others may test the youthful and inexperienced Obama.  Does anyone doubt that this would not occur if McCain had been elected?

So, what’s the difference between a California Democrat Governor and a Republican Governor? Well you won’t be able to tell by looking to Arnold Schwarzenegger.  The man who made famous the term, “girly man” has shown very little testosterone in his governance of California since becoming governor.  Hollywood, as does the media in general, can and does make people to appear as something they are not.  Unfortunately, it’s after they are in office that the true character of the person is revealed.  It was always there but behind layers of the pancake makeup so to speak. At a recent talk, Trey Grayson announced that if Bunning decided to retire, he would definitely enter the race.  Senate President David Williams is also considering a run for Bunning’s U.S. Senate seat.  Senator Bunning has been under some pressure of late because of early missteps requiring his apologies and an unimpressive campaign war chest.

meghanmccainIt seems Meghan McCain is following in her father’s footsteps and ingratiating herself with liberals by attacking Republicans.  Miss McCain is now writing for the liberal blog The Daily Beast and taking shots at Ann Coulter.  After stating on the CBS Early Show that she “fell in love with the Republican Party”, she then goes on to attack it.  Republicans are not “hip” enough for her.  Perhaps her statement sheds some insight on her dilemma.  Miss McCain’s attachment to the Republican Party is emotional rather than intellectual.  Maybe she would do better spending less time blogging and more time on the stair master and perhaps she would get some dates.

How many times, for those who are old enough to have been taught history in school, have you heard someone or maybe even you say:

  • How could the people of Germany turn to a man like Hitler?
  • How could the people of Russia turn to a man like Lenin or Stalin?
  • How could the people of China turn to a man like Mao Tse Tung?
  • How could the people of Cuba turn to Castro or the people of Venezuela turn to Chavez?

It’s easy; the people wanted someone else to do something for them.  The people believed that you could get something for nothing.  The people envied what others had and turned their backs upon their faith and turned to the false promises of false prophets and false saviors. Read more

Just another example of the importance of remembering the past, it turns out that an August 2006 poll conducted by FOX News/Opinion Dynamics showed 51 percent of Democrats did not want Bush to succeed. Thirty-four percent of independents also did not want Bush to succeed.  Now the Democrats are crying about Republicans who do not want Obama’s policies to succeed.  What’s good for the Democrats is good for the Repbulicans?

President Obama continues to demonstrate just how left wing he is.  Today, he lifted President Bush’s ban on the government funding of new embryonic stem cell research.  Let’s be clear about this change.  Read more

Why is the most intelligent President so dependent on a teleprompter?  President Obama uses the teleprompter more than any other President in history according to a recent story by John Lott,a senior research scientist at the University of Maryland.  It was obvious during the campaign and now glaringly apparent since his election.  Obama is the first President to use a teleprompter during a press conference.  Even during the answers to questions, Obama is seen referring to the teleprompter.  The Q&A of a press conference has traditionally been a time when we can see a President stand on his own two feet and engage with the reporters.  Read more
