Obama Campaign Dismisses Small Town and Blue Collar America Once Again

Before McCain’s VP pick, Sarah Palin, had even had the opportunity to give her speech the Obama campaign attacked the pick as being inexperienced coming from a small town in Alaska with no foreign policy experience. This is reminiscent of the gaffe Obama made in Pennsylvania during the primary that nearly cost him the nomination. He was roundly criticized by Hillary Clinton and others for his elitism and insensitivity to small town and blue collar America. Read more

Gallup Poll: Biden Selection Not Helpful

Catholic Bishops have spoken out about the Church’s position on abortion in view of the recent political attention. The Obama campaign is hoping to attract Catholic voters with Senator Biden as the VP choice since he claims to be a practicing Catholic despite his fervent pro-abortion position over his career. In light of this, Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver made the following statement:
“I certainly presume his (Biden) good will and integrity,” said the archbishop, “and I presume that his integrity will lead him to refrain from presenting himself for Communion if he supports a false ‘right’ to abortion.”
For those of you who are not Catholic, being denied Communion at Mass, presumes that you are not in unity with the Church or in the state of mortal sin. Read more
